This is Neil Simon like you’ve never seen him before.
A daring three act comedy-drama, “The Gingerbread Lady” tells the story of an alcoholic Cabaret singer, Evy Meara, trying desperately to sort her life out after returning home from a stint in rehab. Rather than helping her adjust to a sober life, her two best friends, Toby and Jimmy, only hinder her process with their own selfishness; and the resurgence of an old lover, Lou, is nothing short of a complete detriment.
Only Polly, Evy’s teenage daughter, has the fortitude to bring Evy back from the brink before it is too late.
